Why Southeast Asia? ASEAN is a highly dynamic region and leading automotive manufacturing hub as it serves as preferred destination among well-known vehicle makers. OEM parts manufacturing has become a thriving sector, supplying parts not only to the region but also to Japan, China, the U.S. and other countries. While the coronavirus pandemic has somewhat disrupted the automotive industry in the region, recovery is anticipated as investments post increases starting this year. These investments are expected to support rising demand for vehicles in the region which has risen by almost 23% to 832,390 units in the first quarter of 2022 alone from 677,397 units a year earlier (source: www.AsiaMotorBusiness.com).
As global demand for elective vehicles (EVs) and hybrid vehicles expands in the next few years, vehicle manufacturers are expected to increase their requirements for automotive parts and components that Southeast Asian OEM auto parts makers can very well supply. But to stay on top of competition, they must be able to make the shift to meet the needs of EVs and hybrid vehicles makers through more advanced production process - such as injection molding – which is the main focus of this webinar.
